The role

We are looking to recruit a (recently qualified) RIBA Part 2 architectural assistant or equivalent.

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience in delivering outstanding technical drawings and 3D visualisations. We work in Vectorworks for our drawings, so experience with Vectorworks is highly desirable. Candidates without Vectorworks experience will not be excluded however, providing they can show evidence of skill with similar software packages.

We are also open to candidates from other design courses, if you feel you can do this job but are not necessarily from an architecture course we would still love to hear from you.  Our aim is to add your skills to our team and help you learn.

We believe in teamwork and are looking for a proactive and communicative team member.

We work in a variety of disciplines across different scales in Urban Planning, Architecture, Interior Design, Exhibition & Museums and Product Design.

The successful candidate will primarily be providing support and assistance to the Architects & Design Associate throughout RIBA Stages 1 – 7. The assistant will gain experience of working day-to-day directly with our senior team and architects. Our team helps one another when time is tight this includes supporting some admin tasks in the studio.

Reporting

The Architectural Assistant will report to project leaders & the Director.

Qualities and skills required

·       Qualified RIBA Part 2 or equivalent from another design discipline.

·       Outstanding technical drawing skills

·       Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work and willingness to flex to the needs of our clients.

·       Be proficient in Vectorworks (or other CAD software), Renderworks, InDesign and V-Ray or similar

·       Be highly organised and have a good work ethic.

·       Have excellent English and communication skills, both written and spoken.

·       A knowledge or interest in public housing and planning policy within London would be helpful.
