Following our masterplan of the site, which is adjacent to the M1 Motorway, our client wanted a new building for the 21st century which would act as an Open Innovation Hub at the centre of the campus.

Our design objective for the new building is an inspirational and flexible building with a double helix staircase to connect the floors, which in turn creates informal meeting spaces for networking.

The design of the contemporary digital laboratories references the old historic rugged adaptable laboratories which had regular exposed frames.

We refurbished two railway arches to create a new sexual health clinic for the NHS. Our design aimed to take the stigma out of the nature of the centre by creating welcoming spaces filled with artwork and generous day-lit circulation.
